At the first Pentecost following Jesus' death, the apostle Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, stood and addressed the multitude that had gathered. Luke records that Paul's first question to them concerned the Holy Spirit. 'Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?' Acts 19:2.
